Albergue de peregrinos "El Convento" | Santillana del Mar

El Convento Hostel is a private hostel exclusively for legitimate pilgrims, located in the monumental town of Santillana del Mar, at the foot of the Camino del Norte. Opened in 2017, El Convento Hostel is part of a social economy initiative that aims to create jobs for people at risk of social exclusion.

Set in a former convent, Albergue de Pilgrinos El Convento is located in the centre of Santillana del Mar.

This hostel is simply decorated in a vintage style and offers shared rooms for up to 4 people. It also has private rooms, formerly the nuns’ cells. All accommodation offers views of the garden and access to a shared bathroom.

In the morning, a continental buffet breakfast is served in the dining room. There is also a common living area with a library and board games.

There is a large garden with barbecue equipment and a shared terrace on site.

There is an organic shop offering local products and souvenirs. Several bars, restaurants and shops can be found within walking distance. Santander Airport is 24 km away.
