The Clay Hotel

Located on a restaurant-lined block in South Beach´s Art Deco District, and 0.4 miles from the beach and 1 mile from the convention center, this restored Spanish-style budget hotel, first built in the 1920s, was once the center of the Miami rhumba craze and home to Al Capone´s gambling ring. Simply decorated rooms feature breezy palettes and sleep up to 4. All have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and ceiling fans, and some add minifridges and coffeemakers. The period-style lobby on the ground floor features an original 1925 front desk. Next door there´s a Mexican restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
